PIN & biometrics
Your PIN is the master key to your Monipay wallet.
The PIN
- Length: 6 digits.
- Function: Enrypts your private key using AES-256-GCM.
- Security: Argon2id hashing ensures the PIN cannot be easily brute-forced.
Biometric Unlock
On supported mobile devices (iOS/Android), you can enable FaceID, TouchID, or fingerprint unlock. This provides a convenient way to authorize payments without typing your PIN every time.
Lockout Policy
To prevent brute-force attacks, Monipay enforces a temporary lockout after 5 failed PIN attempts.
