What is Monipay?

Monipay is an AI-powered social payments layer that enables financial intents to be executed directly inside social conversations on X, Telegram, and Discord. By bridging social identities and onchain actions, Monipay enables users and autonomous agents to process stablecoin transfers using rails they are already familiar with | such as usernames, social timelines, and natural language commands.

It replaces long blockchain addresses with MoniTag™ usernames (e.g. @samuel), removes gas fees from the user experience entirely, and stays non-custodial | your keys never leave your device.

Three Modes of Entry

Monipay is designed to be accessible regardless of your Web3 experience. You can enter and use the ecosystem in three distinct ways:

1. Create a Monipay Wallet

The fastest, most seamless onboarding experience. Monipay generates a standard private key locally on your device (browser localStorage or mobile Secure Enclave).

No seed phrases: Your private key is encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM derived from a 6-digit PIN.
Gasless by default: All transactions are sponsored via our relayer infrastructure, meaning you only hold stablecoins.

2. WalletConnect

If you already have a preferred Web3 wallet (such as MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom, or Coinbase Wallet), you can link it to Monipay using WalletConnect. This allows you to bind your existing address to a universal MoniTag™ and utilize Monipay's gasless relayers and social features without generating a new key.

3. MiniPay Miniapp

Monipay is integrated directly as a miniapp inside Opera's MiniPay browser on Celo for Android. Specifically optimized for low-data environments and mobile-first audiences, this mode allows millions of users to send stablecoins inside chat interfaces natively and access Celo's mobile-focused on-ramps.

👤 MoniTag™ Identity & Onboarding

Replaces 42-character hex addresses with a clean 3-20 character username (e.g., @alice). Your MoniTag™ is universal across all supported networks and maps directly to your linked social accounts (X, Discord, Telegram).

💸 CasualPay (P2P Payments)

Peer-to-peer stablecoin transfers between Monipay users on the same or different platforms. Just two taps to send funds with zero gas fees.

🪄 MagicPay (Walletless Social Payments)

Send stablecoins directly to any social username (e.g. a Twitter handle or Discord ID), even if the recipient does not have a wallet or a Monipay account yet. Funds are held securely on-chain in the MagicPay IOU Registry. The recipient receives a social notification and can claim their funds at any time.

🤖 MoniBot Agent & Natural Language Commands

An autonomous AI bot that runs on X/Twitter, Telegram, and Discord. Senders can trigger payments simply by typing natural language commands in conversation, such as:

⚽ Conditional Sports P2P (New)

Designed for the World Cup 2026, this feature allows users to reward their community/followers for correct match outcomes automatically based on conditions, without locking up funds in escrow or managing spreadsheets.

Zero Escrow: Funds remain in the sender's wallet. The payment executes only if the condition is met.
3-Source Consensus Sports Oracle: Settle payments securely. Monipay queries three independent data layers: football-data.org (primary), API-Football (fallback), and the openfootball repository (sanity check). Settle only when $\ge 2$ agree. If there is a dispute, a Dispute Safety Lock halts execution for manual review.
Supported Conditions: Match outcomes like win/loss (if Germany wins Curacao) and draw (if they tie).

Utilizes ERC-2771 meta-transactions on EVM networks (Base, BSC, Celo, Ink), a feePayer relay on Solana, and native fee sponsorship on Tempo, ensuring users never have to hold native gas tokens (like ETH, BNB, SOL, or CELO).
